Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing.  The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.


The logistics operations primarily consist of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek US Holdings, Inc.and its affiliates own approximately 63% (including the 2 percent general partner interest) of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek Logistics Partners, LP (NYSE:DKL) is a growth-oriented master limited partnership focused on owning and operating midstream energy infrastructure assets.


The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

Position Summary

This position offers a wide range of daily responsibilities and a dynamic workload.  The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of claims management, including third party claims administrator (TPA) management, return-to-work program management and supporting loss prevention efforts with claims data.




  • Procure and manage TPA services for the entirety of Delek US Holdings and its companies.
  • Develop and direct TPA audit process and guidelines including managing annual contract negotiations.
  • Design and manage the claims reporting process and practice for work comp, general       liability, auto liability.
  • Direct in house adjusted claims process including subrogation efforts.
  • Manage SOX process and ensure adherence to SOX compliance. 
  • Manage TPA database and develop claims reports.
  • Instruct TPA on settlement of claims. 
  • Direct TPA to ensure expeditious adjuster assignment, adequate investigation, appropriate reserve setting and payment. 
  • Manage all TPA accounting related functions.
  • Direct return to work program.
  • Manage and direct quarterly file review processes.
  • Collaborate with retail and transportation operations and safety, in response to loss trends and best practices, to direct loss prevention efforts.
  • Direct investigation and resolution of third party claims e.g. water in gas, customer car damage. 
  • Manage and Direct Monthly Financial Claims Accrual Meetings
  • Design, Implement and Management of the OSHA Reporting Process
  • Manage Weekly Lost Time Meetings
  • Coordinate And Distribute Workers Compensation Posting Notices
  • Coordinate And Distribute Automobile Identification Cards And Claims Kits
  • Support Director of Risk Management in the handling of all other claims e.g. Pollution and Property. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in insurance, accounting, or finance.
  • 10 years of claims handling experience, with extensive knowledge of worker’s compensation regulations.
  • Claims certification is preferred.  
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite, especially Outlook and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work cross functional and maintain an effective working relationship with other groups including Human Resources, Safety, Accounting, Operational Management and Legal. 
  • Ability to multi-task and improvise in a fast paced working environment.
