Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing.  The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.


The logistics operations primarily consist of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek US Holdings, Inc.and its affiliates own approximately 63% (including the 2 percent general partner interest) of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek Logistics Partners, LP (NYSE:DKL) is a growth-oriented master limited partnership focused on owning and operating midstream energy infrastructure assets.


The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.


This position is responsible for providing planning, execution, and governance for Business Process Optimization efforts within the BPO. BPAs draw inferences from process details and link these inferences to Delek’s big picture by considering our business objectives in identifying process improvements. Responsibilities within this function includes: Business process analysis and visualization, process benchmarking, analysis, and reporting, leading process redesign workshops, process improvement project management (long term and short term), and stakeholder management. This group provides business process improvement governance and a framework for integration of new processes as Delek expands.  The BPO works to ensure the explicit definition of all major processes in Delek’s value chain and how these major processes fit together.  The Business Process Analyst is responsible for delivering improved time to value for business processes by utilizing the structure by which business processes are analyzed, efforts are prioritized, visualizations are created, standardized, and curated, building and executing upon process solutions and measuring and reporting on their outcome.  This is a key role to enable the facilitation of a cultural change at Delek towards a process-managed enterprise, thus enhancing overall business performance.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the leadership and direction of the Business Process Optimization group in alignment of corporate and IT vision, strategies, and initiatives
  • Gathering and structuring a large amount of information within Delek’s process framework
  • Working with Business stakeholders to break large processes into smaller, more manageable pieces, then prioritizing the project backlog
  • Utilize process improvement project tracking and reporting systems with associated dashboards and reporting
  • Execute upon process improvement planning strategies and related process improvement workshops
  • Analyze current business process KPI benchmarks and make recommendations for areas of improvement, leading towards continuous improvement
  • Project manage process integration efforts associated with Delek acquisition initiatives, including ensuring adoption of process management best practices post-acquisition
  • Ensure BPO project success criteria is met for each project, managing risks along the way
  • Contribute to and manage repository of established business process artifacts
  • Actively contribute towards Delek’s Process Optimization Center of Excellence
  • Conduct process benchmarking studies, both general and project specific


Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or other applicable field
  • 2+ years Business Analysis or Business Process Analyst experience
  • 2+ years Project Management experience


Desired Qualificiations:

  • Business Process Management Certification
  • 2+ years experience in Agile or Lean environment
  • Agile Certification (CSP, CSPO, CSM, etc.)
  • Familiarity with APQC framework
  • 2+ years Petroleum industry experience


Technical Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of business models
  • High level understanding of enterprise-wide processes
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
  • Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong project management skills which includes experience organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects involving internal resources, contractors, and vendors
  • Ability to analyze project needs and resources needed to meet project objectives
