Staff General Accountant

Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, asphalt, renewable fuels, and convenience store retailing. We are hiring for the position of Staff Accountant located in our refinery at Krontz Springs, LA.

Primary Role & Responsibilities:

Learn accounting team’s processes/procedures supporting monthly & quarterly close tasks
Prepare and enter journal entries, including mastering required spreadsheets
Perform account reconciliations and account activity analyses
Assist with any department projects or initiatives
Understand and support company’s internal control environment
Assist external or internal auditors, providing information or audit schedules as needed
Assist Accounting Manager with other tasks as needed
Software systems utilized: MS Office Suite, Outlook, and SAP

Required Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or an analytically oriented discipline (e.g., business, economics, statistics, mathematics, etc.)
Between 1-3 years demonstrated accounting experience, including creating and posting journal entries, use of an ERP system, account analysis, and account reconciliations
Ability to work in an office environment, with work week generally 40 hours, but 45-50 hours/week during quarter close; expected travel negligible
Possesses drive, high energy, maturity, and ability to work under pressure and deliver results
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Advanced Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:

SAP experience a plus
