Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing.  The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.

 

The logistics operations primarily consist of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek US Holdings, Inc.and its affiliates own approximately 63% (including the 2 percent general partner interest) of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek Logistics Partners, LP (NYSE:DKL) is a growth-oriented master limited partnership focused on owning and operating midstream energy infrastructure assets.

 

The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The operator position must have the ability and desire to perform numerous tasks with minimal supervision in a safe and environmental compliant way. Good comprehnsion of procedures, processes, and systems is desirable in the candidate. This position requires shift work on a rotating schedule. Tasks include monitoring and adjusting flows and temperatures on equipment and systems. Assignments may include assisting or leading various special assignments for operations on projects. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow proper safety rules and operating procedures to support zero tolerance safety objectivities
  • Operating a variety of equipment in accordance with all policies regulations and safety procedures
  • Complete and maintain required daily paperwork
  • Complete shifts rounds inspecting and making adjustments of process
  • Take samples in accordance with procedures
  • Peform other duties as assigned

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in refinery, plant or related industrial experience.

  • Must have knowledge of safe operating procedures and safe work practices for all equipment used.

  • Must maintain a good working relationship with company employees and contractors.   

 

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Associates degree or higher
  • Honeywell TDC board operation is a plus
  • Environmental and safety awareness

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

Work Space

  • Be able to work outside in operating facility in various weather

 

Hours of Work/Travel

  • Must be able to work a rotating (days/nights) 12 hour shift to include weekends, holidays and overtime as necessary

 

Physical Activity

  • Climb ladders, tanks and vessels
  • Lifting continuously throughout the day
  • Turning Valves
  • Various maintenance duties throught the refinery
