The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.
Job Summary:Analyzes transportation and distribution systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and economical delivery of the organization's products. Reviews proposals and makes recommendations for modifications in rates and transportation regulations. Evaluates freight classifications, tariff rates and operating efficiency to ensure the proper delivery of products. Plans and coordinates fleet operations, including acquisition, scheduling, maintenance service and repair, and disposal of trucks, and hires common carriers (third-party transportation companies) as appropriate.
Job Responsibilities:
-Forecast, build, create, maintain and improve transportation tools (facilities, processes, equipment, and systems) to continually enhance service excellence
-Directs, guides and manages budgets for fleet maintenance and outside repair, equipment lifecycle and fuel programs, and creates strategies to support the business
-Assures compliance with all corporate policies, procedures, programs, and regulations
-Ensures all logistics related operations comply with any applicable environmental health, safety, and other regulatory rules and regulations (i.e. DOT, CBP, NAFTA, HS etc.)
Required Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:
More than 15 years of related experience. At least 5 years of management experience. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Master's or MBA degree typically preferred.

Provides leadership and direction through managers. Develops and executes annual business plans to ensure alignment. Contributes to the development of functional or business unit strategy.
