Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing.  The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.

 

The logistics operations primarily consist of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek US Holdings, Inc.and its affiliates own approximately 63% (including the 2 percent general partner interest) of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek Logistics Partners, LP (NYSE:DKL) is a growth-oriented master limited partnership focused on owning and operating midstream energy infrastructure assets.

 

The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

The Turnaround Coordinator is a position of leadership in planning, pre-turnaround and turnaround execution such that the ultimate goals of the turnaround project premise are met (safety, meet AFE cost and schedule, production startup). 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Lead or assist Turnaround Manager in leading the Core team
  • Lead the Core team in completion of appropriate TPEP deliverables at appropriate times, tracking progress where makes sense of long lead deliverables
  • Lead diverse plant teams in development and documentation of key execution plans for Logistical Plan (real estate, offsite pipe and equipment, rental equipment, temporary power, housekeeping, IT), Start of Work Plan, and Mobilization Plan.  Also actively participate as a turnaround team member for other execution plans being developed for operations, health and safety, environmental, quality, controls, etc.
  • Lead planning and scheduling effort through managing contractors and company employees to minimum downtime while meeting project objectives with best practice tools.  Ensure all planning and scheduling is integrated and agreed by Core team and Stakeholders through quality reviews and documenting consensus.
  • Participate in development of turnaround project risk and appropriate mitigation plans
  • Lead constructability reviews of integrated expense and capital scope, seeking opportunities to reduce risk, share resources, optimize time, etc.
  • Ensure that extra work after scope freeze date is properly planned and integrated into turnaround plans
  • Participate in contracting and material procurement strategies such that safe and quality materials and contractors are available when needed to meet required timing
  • Coordinate contractor staffing (onboarding, training, logistics, etc.) and lead coordination of all activities with Operations during turnaround events to meet schedule and cost as planned
  • Ensure proper updates to schedule and cost during turnaround events so the Turnaround Leadership team can make necessary adjustments to meet event objectives
  • Assist in developing post-turnaround report and lessons-learned report, and close all financial claims and commitments in a timely manner

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and have approximately 5-10 years turnaround/maintenance experience in a refinery and/or petrochemical facility.
  • Familiar with the development of turnarounds and/or capital projects
  • Have knowledge of major turnarounds and turnaround projects processes and have experience in estimating, planning, coordinating and executing shutdowns
  • Self- disciplined to deliver the business results through the TA work processes and practices
  • TA Process and planning knowledge for the efficient and economical performance of work
  • Working knowledge of Industrial engineering, safety, and IHS standards and procedures
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to read computerized schedules (eg: scheduling logic, manpower resource loading & histograms)
  • Knowledge of Management of Change
  • Writing skills that effectively convey key concepts to the target audience
  • Computer literacy: Word, Excel, LAN applications, Outlook, Intranet applications, SAP or equivalent maintenance planning software
